BLV (Bovine Leukemia Virus) p24 blocking antibody EIA 96 well plateA monoclonal antibody blocking ELISA for the specific detection of BLV p24 as in serum samples Article code: EIA B1111-AB01

The Bovine Leukemia Virus (BLV) p24 blocking antibody ELISA test kit is designed to detect BLV-p24 antibodies in individual serum samples. In contrast to tests which make use of polyclonal antibodies, this monoclonal antibody-mediated ELISA gives minimum non-specific reactions. This ELISA has a similar specificity to the agar gel precipitation test (AGPT), but is more sensitive.
Principle of the testkit
Test samples and inactivated BLV antigen are, simultaneously added to the wells and incubated. Without washing, a horseradish peroxidase conjugate, prepared with another monoclonal antibody directed against BLV-p24 is added to the wells. Blocking of the color reaction in the wells directly to the presence BLV-p24 antibodies in the samples.
Interpretation of test results
- Example: OD value nagtive 1.400 80%=1.120
- All samples with an OD value above 1.20 are considered negative.
- Example: OD value negative 1.400, 60%= 0,840
- All samples with an OD value below 0.840 are considered positive.
- Example: OD value negative 1.500, 80%= 1.120, 60%=0,840
- All OD value between 0.840-1.120 are considered doubtful and should be tested again.
